KATHMANDU, Sept 18: The election process for the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assemblies scheduled for November 20 is starting today.
The Election Commission (EC) has appointed today and tomorrow for the parties to submit their closed list of candidates for the proportional election.

In the upcoming elections, 110 people will be elected in the federal parliament through the proportional election system and 165 people will be elected through the direct election system.
The parties should prepare a closed list for at least 10 percent of the total number of members to be elected. In it, 50 percent women and inclusive representation has been made mandatory.
