Laying foundation of a new building of the Bhaktapur Municipality on Sunday, Bijukchhe said the development works in the local level were halted and people have been deprived of the facilities due to absence of their representatives.[break]
Bijukchhe demanded that the government either should hold the election of the local bodies or should reinstate as even the government officials were facing problems due to absence of the people’s representatives.
On the occasion executive officer of the Municipality Rajendra Kumar Poudel, former mayor of the Municipality Prem Suwal and others opined that the local bodies should not be run for long without people’s representatives.
The new building will be constructed at local tourist bus park in Byasi with the investment of Rs 130 million. The four-storied building will be built within four years, said the officials.
