BHIMDUTTANAGAR, June 8: Nepal Police with the help of the Indian Seema Suraksha Bal (Border Security Force) rescued 18 children including six minors from Gaddachauki transit point at the Nepal-India border on Thursday.
Chief of the Area Police Office Gaddachauki, Sub Inspector Diker Dev Panta said they have taken two people who were taking these children towards India under control. Police said the rescued children are from Dhakari Rural Municipality-7 in Achham district.
Those arrested on the charge of trafficking these children to India are 53-year-old Ram Bahadur Budha and 48-year-old Ratan BK of Dhakri rural municipality. Sub-Inspector Panta said the rescued children would be handed over to the Maiti Nepal Kanchanpur for their custody.
