Eight-year-old releases song on birthday

Chirag Dangol, a Grade III student at Navodaya Sishusadan, Hetauda released his first song on the occasion of his eighth birthday on Tuesday.

Chirag Dangol, a Grade III student at Navodaya Sishusadan, Hetauda released his first song on the occasion of his eighth birthday on Tuesday. 


Renowned singer cum songwriter Bhola Joshi released the song ‘Mero Sochaai Ho’ on Chirag’s behalf. The song was written by Adarsha Bista, arranged Sudip Singh and mixed by Dinesh Shreshtha.

Chirag’s father Kishor Dangol, who is also a singer and music director, helped him sing Newari songs since the age of four. “He would hold my guitar and try to sing when he was a toddler. I used to teach him music whenever possible. My dream is to see him grow into a fine artist in the future,” Kishor shared. 


Also speaking on the occasion, Bhola shared that he was elated for the eight-year-old’s achievement. He also wished for Chirag’s bright future. 


Singers Sushila Pandey Manandhar and Krishna Gopal Singh along with Vice-president of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Makwanpur Kumar Adhikari also appreciated Chirag’s effort and hard work at such young age.
