Eight die of COVID-19 in Banke

KATHMANDU, May 22: As many as eight patients undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Bheri Hospital and the Teaching Hospital in Banke died on Saturday.

KATHMANDU, May 22: As many as eight patients undergoing treatment for COVID-19 at Bheri Hospital and the Teaching Hospital in Banke died on Saturday. 


According to the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center focal person Tej Oli, four people each died at Bheri and Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur from the disease. The list of the deceased in the district includes a 44-year-old female from Kohalpur-10, a 52-year-old male from Tulsipur-10 of Dang, a 52-year-old female from Kohalpur-6, a 54-year-old male from Bhimdatta-2 of Kanchanpur, and a 50-year-old male from Joshipur-1 of Kailali.

Similarly, a 50-year-old male from Nepalgunj-6, a 57-year-old male from Madhuban-7 of Bardiya and a 68-year-old female from Lamahi-2 of Dang died while undergoing treatment for COVID-19. 


With this, as many as 227 people from other districts and 272 people from Banke who had been receiving treatment in the district have died, Oli said.
