Inaugurating the sixth district convention of Nepal Intellectuals Council, Nuwakot Saturday, Minister Pandey argued that Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority's attacks on education sector without much consideration have given a message that country's education was no more of use and this sector was a just junction of corrupt people.
Referring to fresh demands put forth by Prof Dr Govinda KC, who ended his 12-day fast-onto-death last Thursday with the government promise to address his voice, the incumbent minister said such demands posed challenges for many Nepali students wishing to pursue medical education at home and thereby compelling them to opt for abroad study.
The convention concluded with re electing Shiva Kumar Mishara as the chairman. The 15-member new working committee elected unopposed includes Ramhari Rimal as vice chair, Dipendra Shrestha secretary, Bhesraj Rimal co-secretary and Rajendra Dawadi treasurer. RSS
