KATHMANDU, Dec 18: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the country would achieve economic prosperity with the labor of skilled and capable workers.
In a message today on the occasion of International Migrants Day-2018, Prime Minister Oli said that the country has headed towards the journey of economic prosperity along with a new thinking. "People from all walks of life should work to make the country prosperous and happy. And contribution of workers is indispensable for economic prosperity", reads the message.
He said, "Policy-level and legal foundation have been set for the rights of workers in the country as well as social security scheme based on contribution is in the implementation phase. The Prime Minister Employment Programme is also a testimony of this."
In the message, Prime Minister Oli has also said that the government is committed to ending the compulsion for youths of going abroad for employment. The government is determined to create environment conducive for employment in the country."
Saying Nepal is the signatory to the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of Migrant Workers and their family members ratified on December 18, 1990, Prime Minister Oli said that the government was serious for the security and protection of rights of migrant workers. RSS
