KATHMANDU, Nov 22: As the election day is fast approaching, polling stations of different districts are facilitated with the election materials for the first round of the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assembly scheduled for November 26.
The security personnel, election officials and concerned authorities are busy transporting election materials to their respective election constituencies from the district headquarters. According to Nawaraj Dhakal, spokesperson of Election Commission, a total of 45,000 election officials have been deployed across the the nation to hold the first phase of elections. Altogether 2, 67,000 security personnel from Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, temporary police and National Investigation Department will be deployed for the upcoming federal parliamentary and provincial elections.
