JHAPA, Aug 14: 'Our Eastern Regional International Football Gold Cup-2076' is to take place at Domalal Rajbamshi Stadium in Birtamod of Jhapa from September 28 to October 5.

Two international teams along with departmental teams of Nepal would participate in the competition, shared at a press conference in Birtamod on Tuesday.

JAYON Sports Club has organized the event for the past couple of years. The competition is organized to develop Jhapa as a sports hub in State-1, said Club Chair Bhakta Bahadur Bhujel.

The winner team will bag trophy and cash prize of Rs 1.25 million along with certificate while the first runner-up will receive Rs 625,000, trophy and certificate.

 Rs 8 million is estimated as the total cost to accomplish the competition.

Meanwhile, the Club has appointed Hari Khadka, coach of National Women Team, as a 'brand ambassador', the club sources said.
