Earthquake of 7.2 magnitude hits Myanmar

A strong earthquake was felt in Myanmar on Friday, according to reports. The tremors were measures to be of 7.2 magnitude on the Richter scale, the National Center for Seismology (NCS) said.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km, close to Myanmar's Mandalay at 11:50 a.m. (Indian Standard Time), as per the data shared by NCS.


 Tremors were also felt in neighbouring Southeast Asian regions, including Vietman and Thailand, Bloomberg reported.
