MYAGDI, April 29: A man has killed his wife in Mangalghat, Beni Municipality–7, Myagdi.
Raju BK, 40, a resident of Thadakhani, Raghuganga Rural Municipality–6, murdered his 27-year-old wife, Bhagwati BK, on Monday night. Preliminary investigations have revealed that Raju, who was under the influence of alcohol, killed his wife by striking her with firewood.
A police team led by Inspector Sagar Paudel from the District Police Office has reached the scene for further investigation.
Husband murders wife by slitting her throat

Injuries were seen on the body of the deceased Bhagwati, who had gone to Gufatol, Jaljala Rural Municipality-3 in Parbat, to visit her mother, Guma BK. Bhagwati's mother, Guma, stated that her daughter’s husband, often intoxicated, used to repeatedly beat and injure her.
She said, “He had come to take my daughter home yesterday. Even when I tried to stop him saying he might kill her, my daughter insisted on going with him.”
Local residents near the incident site told the police that they heard shouting and saw him enter the house around 10 PM, but were unaware of what happened afterward.
On Tuesday morning, after locals informed Ward Member Ramesh Phagami about the incident, a police team stationed in Mangalghat reached the crime scene.
After killing his wife, the accused, Raju BK, came toward the market barefoot, claiming his wife was ill. According to Inspector Paudel, he was taken into custody within two hours of receiving the information.
Further investigation will be conducted after extending his judicial remand through the Myagdi District Court. Raju BK will be investigated on charge of murder.
