KATHMANDU, March 5: The drinking water supply pipe of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project, which burst open in Thapathali on Tuesday morning, has been repaired.
A technical team of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL) completed the repair of the broken pipeline at 4:00 am this morning, KUKL engineer Prakash Baral shared.

The road remained closed to traffic while shops and houses nearby were waterlogged after water from the major pipeline supplying water to downtown Kathmandu gushed out in hundred thousand of liters.
