KATHMANDU, March 15: A draft of the Common Minimum Program (CMP) has been prepared by the task force formed to formulate the minimum common policies and programs of the government.
Bishnu Prasad Paudel, vice chairman of CPN-UML and coordinator of the task force, announced that a draft of the CMP of the government was prepared at the task force meeting held on Friday.
He said that today's meeting of the task force finalized the draft with suggestions. He stated that the draft of the government's CMP prepared by the task force is ready to be submitted to the top leaders today. He added that in the CMP, priority was given to the protection of the constitution, economic development and prosperity, resolving economic challenges, instilling hope and confidence in the general public, and safeguarding the sovereign power and independence.

He mentioned that the topics of making the nation prosperous, ensuring public happiness, fulfilling the aspirations of a prosperous nation and a happy Nepal and advancing the country towards socialism are also included in the CMP. He said that the task force has finalized the draft of the CMP and any necessary amendments will be made by the top leaders.
He further added that good governance has also been prioritized in the CMP. The task force comprises Vice Chairman Bishnu Paudel and Deputy Secretary General Bishnu Rimal from CPN-UML, Deputy Secretary General Barshaman Pun and Janardan Sharma from CPN (Maoist Center), Vice Chairman Swarnim Wagle and General Secretary Mukul Dhakal from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Vice Chairman Pramesh Hamal and General Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal from CPN (United Socialist) Party and leaders Rajendra Shrestha and Manish Suman from JSP as members.
