Draft of govt’s Common Minimum Programs ready, likely to be released today

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A draft of the minimum common programs of the new government is now ready.


A meeting of the taskforce formed to formulate the program finalized the draft on Friday. The meeting was held in the Ministry of Finance.

According to task force member and Rastriya Swatantra Party's General Secretary Mukul Dhakal, the draft of the programs will be submitted to the top leaders of the ruling partners. It will be unveiled after a meeting of the top leaders of the ruling alliance scheduled to take place on Saturday will endorse it.


Dhakal claimed that the proposed minimum common programs will make people feel the change and development. “The programs will make the people happy,” said Dhakal


The government formed the task force under the coordination of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Bishnu Poudel. It comprises Barshaman Pun of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Dhakal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party and Dhawal Shumsher Rana of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
