KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Medical education reform activist Govinda KC has drawn the government's attention to fulfill his demands by December 14.
In a statement on Sunday, Dr KC warned that he will initiate a fast-unto-death program from December 15 if the demands are not met by December 14.

Earlier, he had postponed his hunger strike until November 14 after receiving assurance from the government that his demands would be fulfilled. Dr KC is demanding the implementation of past agreements, the provision of free medicines and treatment in government health centers and hospitals, and the immediate operationalization of Geta Medical College.
Dr KC has also called for the immediate establishment of at least one government medical college or institution in Dadeldhura, Udayapur, and Illam and passing of the Higher Education Act related to the standards of officials of universities and institutes.
Additionally, he has demanded the passage of the Integrated Health Education Institute Act and the advancement of the process of making medical education a non-profit sector.
