DPM Shrestha urges Chinese investors to invest in Nepal's infrastructure development

CHENGDU (China), March 31: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha has requested the Chinese investors to invest in Nepal's infrastructure development as Nepal has huge potential for hydropower, agriculture, and infrastructure.

CHENGDU (China), March 31: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha has requested the Chinese investors to invest in Nepal's infrastructure development as Nepal has huge potential for hydropower, agriculture, and infrastructure.


Foreign Minister Shrestha, who returned from an official visit to China, today, encouraged Sichuan businesspersons to invest in Nepal during a meeting with Sichuan Provincial Governor Huang Qiang. 


While in China, he shared with them about the positive developments in legal, structural, and procedural fronts in Nepal, which he argued would be favorable for investment in Nepal. Nepal wholeheartedly welcomes foreign investment for its development.

Minister Shrestha said he expected a huge participation of Chinese investors in the third investment summit Nepal is going to hold soon. He reminded that the exchange of high-level visits between Nepal and China of late has strengthened bilateral relations.


DPM Shrestha reiterated Nepal's one-China policy.
