“Imposition of another border blockade is only a rumor and there is not truth in them,” DPM Rawal said, speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Nepal, Kaski on Sunday.
“It will require importing a large amount of petroleum products to ease the supply that had been affected for as long as five months,” he said, adding that it will take some more time to ease the supply.
He said that the government was trying its best to normalizing the supply, saying that Indian Oil Corporation and Indian government’s higher officials had assured Nepal of providing needed petroleum products.
Rawal, also the defense minister, said that the government has stepped in to enjoy transit facility through both neighboring India and China after maintaining cordial relations with both of the countries. RSS
