ROLPA, Oct 16: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has pledged to provide additional funds for the under-construction building for the polytechnic institute in Rolpa.
Minister Mahara made this commitment in the course of an inspection of the building at his hometown.

During the inspection, local people demanded that additional plot of land and road are needed to run the Polytechnic. In response, he said, "It is your (local people) responsibility to manage plot of land and construct road. My part is to manage budget for this purpose, which I will do."
Earlier, Mahara had donated 32 ropani of land for the project while the government released Rs 148.4 million in the past two fiscal years, said Polytechnic Board of Directors Chairman Hair Bahadur Malla.
The inspection team included Finance Secretary Shantaraj Subedi, former Finance Minister and UCPN (Maoist Centre) Secretary Barsha Man Pun and leader Jayapuri Gharti among others. RSS
