DPM Mahara and Chinese ambassador meet

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: A courtesy meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara and newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yu Hong.

KATHMANDU, Nov 18: A courtesy meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara and newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yu Hong. 


During the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance in Singha Durbar today, DPM Mahara reiterated that Nepal was firm on One-China policy and it would not allow any anti-China activities to be operated from Nepal.

The DPM also assured Chinese envoy Hong that Nepal, as a good neighbor of China, would address its interests and expectations, DPM Mahara'a Press Coordinator Tribhuvan Poudel quoted DPM Mahara as saying. 


Extending his highest regard towards the cooperation from the government of China to Nepal, Mahara also expressed his confidence for further cooperation in the coming days. 


He was also hopeful that the China government funded projects in Nepal would be constructed within the stipulated time and the bilateral relations between the two countries would be further consolidated in the coming days. 


On the occasion, ambassador Hong expressed her commitment that China would continue with it assistance to Nepal. She also expressed the confidence that the ties between the two countries would assume greater height. RSS
