KATHMANDU, Aug 16: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is currently in Beijing on a six-day China tour, will meet Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang on Wednesday.
According to sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), DPM Mahara will meet the Chinese Prime Minister at 10 am (local time) tomorrow.
“Chinese sides have attached a high priority to the Nepali delegation,” said a MoFA source.
Earlier today, DPM Mahara met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
On the occasion, DPM Mahara handed over the invitation letters to the Chinese Foreign Minister from President and Prime Minister of Nepal to their Chinese counterparts to visit Nepal, the Nepali Embassy in Beijing stated in a press release.
During the meeting, the two leaders extensively discussed matters of bilateral cooperation and mutual interests. The Chinese Minister stated that a change in the government was Nepal’s internal affairs.
Saying that the northern neighbor is for regional peace and stability, Chinese Minister Wang expressed his happiness for Nepal’s support to the stance.
China congratulated Speaker Mahara
