KATHMANDU, Feb 9: The third edition of Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL) has been postponed for two days as the rain destroyed the Fapla International Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi.
With the deferral of the matches, the tournament, which was scheduled to kick off on Saturday, will now start on Monday and will run till February 23. As per the revised schedule, the players will have only one rest day in the 13-day tournament.
DPL postponed in view of COVID-19
In a program organized in Dhangadhi, the tournament trophy was also unveiled. Captains of six teams unveiled the trophy with Dhangadhi Cricket Academy Chairman Subhash Shahi and South Africa legend Jonty Rhodes.
Kathmandu Goldens and Dhangadhi Stars will play the first match on the opening day, while Rupandehi Challengers and Mahendranagar United will play later on the same day.
