Dozens take ill with epidemic of diarrhoea in Sakarpura

RAJBIRAJ, Oct 6: An epidemic of diarrhoea and vomiting has spread in Tiladhi Koiladi rural municipality, that was recently affected by floods.

RAJBIRAJ, Oct 6: An epidemic of diarrhoea and vomiting has spread in Tiladhi Koiladi rural municipality, that was recently affected by floods. 


As a result a large number of people have been taken ill with around six people in critical condition, according to the District Public Health Office. Manoj Mandal and his wife Geeta Devi of Koiladi-3 are in a serious condition after suffering from diarrhoa and vomitting. They are presently undergoing treatment in Neuro Hospital in Biratnagar.

Meanwhile, the District Public Health Office has set up a camp in the village and providing treatment to a dozen sick people, said the office Chief Gyan Bahadur Basnet. The seriously ill have been referred to the Zonal hospital in Rajbiraj. 


Thousands of people in the area including in Sakarapura had been hit from the heavy floods two months ago.(RSS)
