Baniya is ailing from kidney failure and is currently undergoing dialysis. Doctors have suggested him to go for kidney transplant to India, which costs at least Rs 1.3 million.

At least Rs 100,000 was collected from the shows. National and International Players Association of Nepal and Nepal Sports Journalists´ Forum, who have come forward to raise funds for Baniya´s treatment, organized the shows. The amount was handed over to Baniya after the shows.

The documentaries were produced by former A Division footballer Om Krishna Shrestha who shot the films while he trained local kids in Dolpa and Solukhumbu. ANFA President Ganesh Thapa promised to raise a further Rs 100,000 support for Baniya on his personal initiative.
