DNDRC to provide relief to the flood victims family

MUGU, July 5: District Disaster Relief Committee (DDRC), Mugu has made a decision to provide financial assistance to the family members of three yarsagumba collectors who were swept away by flood while returning from their trip.

MUGU, July 5: District Disaster Relief Committee (DDRC), Mugu has made a decision to provide financial assistance to the family members of three yarsagumba collectors who were swept away by flood while returning from their trip.



Organizing a meeting on the premises of the District Administration office (DAO) on Wednesday, DDRC announced to provide Rs 40,000 each to the family members of the three flood victims who are missing since July 1.  Urgin lama, 16, Kunkyap Lama, 27, and Tenzing Lama, 40, of Karmarong Rural Municipality ward no 6 are missing since they got swept away by a massive flood while trying to cross a river on Saturday.  



Even after five days, the bodies of the victims have still not been recovered. Locals claim that they must have died. 



Few days ago, the DDRC also announced to provide relief of Rs 5000 to the family members of fire victims. With the onset of monsoon, the DDRC has directed the locals to be aware of various natural calamities and adopt adequate measures to cope with them.
