District Court settles 266 cases

BABIYACHAUR (MYAGDI), July 25: The District Court Myagdi has settled 266 cases in the last fiscal year. 

Of the total of 332 cases – 68 transferred from preceding fiscal year and 264 registered last year – 266 cases were settled. 80.12 per cent of the cases were settled, the Court stated. The remaining 66 cases have been transferred to be dealt with in the current fiscal year. The Court had set its target on settling 276 cases last year. 

Court's Registrar, Raju Dhungana, said all the cases that were transferred from the year preceding the last fiscal year have been settled. 

The highest number cases registered in the last fiscal year were related to divorce. Of the total of 130 divorce cases, 118 were settled whereas the remaining 12 were transferred for the ongoing fiscal year. RSS
