KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Finally, dispute over the Nepal Students Union (NSU) general convention representative have been sorted out, paving the way for the election.
The issue of 'fake general convention representatives' was a discord in the 11th general convention of Nepali Congress- aligned students' union held after nine years. There is an agreement to scrap the membership of 'fake representatives', NSU Spokesperson UP Lamichhane said.
The election of the NSU new leadership has been rescheduled for Wednesday and the deadline for the filing of nominations of candidates has been extended until 11:00 am Tuesday.
The NSU general convention that commenced on August 7 was halted due to dispute over the representative issue. RSS
