KATHMANDU, July 3: The second meeting of today's Legislature-Parliament has approved a proposal seeking consideration on 'Appropriation Bill-2074 BS' by a majority.
Taking part in the discussion in principle on the bill, lawmaker Prem Suwal said that action should be taken against those entrepreneurs and businessmen who were involving in financial crime by evading value-added tax (VAT).
Suwal demanded for taking necessary decisions in this regard.
Responding to the query of lawmaker Suwal, Finance Minister Gyanendra Karki said that the government would not give concession to anyone from paying tax as it is the responsibility of people.
Earlier to this, the Finance Minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki had tabled 'Appropriation Bill-2074' and 'National Debt Recovery Bill-2074' in the parliament.
Speaker Onsari Gharti said that discussion would be held on the Appropriation Bill from July 4-11.
The next meeting of the Parliament has been scheduled at 11:00 am on July 5. RSS
