Dilip Nath misses fifty, Tigers score 142

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Dilip Nath’s 46 at the top of the order including five fours and a six helped Chitwan Tigers put 142 runs on board for their second match of the tournament against Kathmandu Kings XI. Farveez Maharoof, the Kings XI skipper, was pick of the bowlers scalping three wickets in his four over spell conceding only 21 runs.

Dilip Nath was aided by Tigers’ Indian recruit Shabez Khan who made 27 runs that included two towering sixes over long-on and long-off regions landing in sand banks. Kings XI conceded 14 extras in the field including seven wides and two no-balls by Sompal Kami in the last over of the innings. Sagar Pun picked up one wicket but completed three catches in the field, one from his own bowling.

Yogendra Karki and Kamal Singh Airee contributed 17 and 12 runs each. Amar Singh Routela and Bikram Bhusal chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier, Kathmandu Kings Xi won the toss and elected to bowl first.
