KANCHANPUR, July 30: The number of tigers in Shuklaphanta National Park has doubled. The number of spotted tigers has increased to 36 including 16 female, 12 male and eight whose gender is not yet known, according to Acting Chief Conservation Officer of the Park Office, Manoj Iyer.

DEV NAGAR, June 28: Three tigers rescued earlier are being sheltered in the Devnagar, Barandabhar forest. As the population of the tigers have increased uncontrollably in the Chitwan National Park and adjacent areas, a rescue facility in Devnagar is being set up.

NEPALGUNJ, Sept 13: A pair of tigers that killed a man has been found in Gavar of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality of Banke. The tigers were found in the park inside Bhattikhola in Gavar on the East-West Highway.

RATNAGAR, July 29: Nepal's aim to double the existing number of tigers by 2022 is in the way of reality as its number has increased to 198 from 120 just within three years since the plan was made. The number of tigers may go higher as the count was carried out in 2013.
