Dikshya Khanal bowls Biratnagar to victory

KATHMANDU, April 5: Player-of-the-match Dikshya Khanal and Ambika Budhathoki took three wickets each as Biratnagar registered an emphatic eight-wicket win over Birgunj for its third consecutive victory in women´s T20 cricket of the Fifth National Games at the Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya Ground in Bhaktapur on Sunday. Birgunj was all out for 56 in 16 overs after electing to bat first with Shobha Aale making 14. Biratnagar chased down the score in 14.2 overs with Sabina Karki´s 10. Ale was the only successful bowler for Birgunj taking one wicket.



The other fixture at the same venue saw Region No 6 (Baitadi) defeat Bhairahawa by five wickets. Electing to bat first, Bhairahawa scored 98/5 with Saraswoti Lamgade´s 17. Player-of-the-match Janaki Bhatta claimed three wickets for Baitadi.



Baitadi wrapped up the match in 17 overs with opener Maya Rawat´s 32.
