Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation last year in October which shocked their fans. Before they shared the official statement, it was rumored that things were not well between them. Now, the actress is back in the news as she has reportedly returned her wedding saree to Naga after the separation.

According to the reports, her wedding saree belonged to Naga’s grandmother. It is being said that Samantha didn’t want to keep anything that belonged to Naga or his family.

A report in India Today suggests that her friend Kresha Bajaj gave the final touches to the saree. It is also reported that Samantha made the entire family proud by sporting that saree at the wedding. The couple got married in 2017 in Goa.

The rumors of their separation started after Samantha dropped Akkineni from her name on social media. Announcing the separation, the duo shared a statement that read, “To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thank you for your support.”

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya will be soon making his Bollywood debut with 'Laal Singh Chaddha' co-starring Aamir Khan. On the other hand, Samantha garnered a lot of praise for her performance in 'The Family Man 2'.
