Dhanusha DDC office remains closed

JANAKPUR, May 14: The office of District Development Committee (DDC), Dhanusha, has remained closed for the past three days after the DDC and other local body employees announced an indefinite strike in protest against the shooting of three DDC employees including an assistant accountant last Tuesday.



The area committee of the Local Body Employees´ Association has padlocked the main gate of the office and is staging a sit-in demanding action against the culprits, treatment and compensation for the injured, and guarantee of security.



The protesting employees have also submitted a memorandum to the prime minister through Dhanusha´s Chief District Officer Shamvu Koirala demanding security.
