KATHMANDU, April 30: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is proposing the names for the nominations of office bearers on Monday 26 months after the 13th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
According to NC sources, Deuba will propose names for the nomination of the office bearers at a Central Committee meeting at Sanepa.
However, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel has demanded to postpone the meeting saying that Deuba is picking the names of office bearers unilaterally.
Paudel has warned that he would boycott the meeting if Deuba picked the names of office bearers unilaterally. “President did not try to forge consensus. We want the issue of nomination be resolved through consensus. We will boycott the meeting if held unilaterally,” said Paudel.
Deuba is planning to propose names for two Vice Presidents, General Secretary, Deputy General Secretary in the central committee meeting today.
Deuba is making preparations to propose name of Bimalendra Nidhi as vice president, Purna Bahadur Khadka as General Secretary and Prakash Sharan Mahat as Deputy General Secretary.
