KATHMANDU, May 30: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday held discussion with office bearers of the Election Commission at his official residence in Baluwatar to seek advice on rescheduling the second round of the local level elections.
The meeting focused on rescheduling the polls keeping in mind Muslim festival Ramadan. The office bearers of the Commission provided positive advices, according to a statement issued by the Commission.

After the meeting, PM Dahal said efforts were on to seek advices from the Commission's officials on rescheduling the polls.
Following the demand of Muslim community, the government is learnt likely to reschedule the polls second time for June 28. Earlier, the June 14 polls were rescheduled for June 23.
The meeting was attended by Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav and election commissioners including Ila Sharma, Narendra Dahal, Ishwori Prasad Poudyal, Sudhir Kumar Shah and Secretary of the Commission Gopi Nath Mainali.
Also attending the meeting Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi attended the discussions. RSS
