Detox water is any infused water recipe that helps flush your system of toxins and improves your health. Although the jury is still out on exactly how these drinks help remove toxins from your body, you can be sure that by drinking them, you are pumping your body full of vitamins and nutrients that will make you healthier and boost energy and vitality.

Apple cinnamon detox water

Not only does this infusion taste delicious, but it also has a lot of health benefits. The phytonutrients and antioxidants in apples may help reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease. Cinnamon, too, has a lot of great health benefits. It is loaded with powerful antioxidants that help protect the body against oxidative damage caused by free radicals. It also has anti-inflammatory properties.

To make this drink, thinly slice an apple and throw away the seeds. Put it in a tall tumbler and pour water over it. Add cinnamon sticks or the powdered version to the water. Let it sit for an hour so that the apple flavors the water. Add ice cubes before drinking.

Watermelon mint detox water

It’s the season of watermelon and mint and what better way to use these ingredients than to make a refreshing detox drink out of them? Not only does watermelon taste delicious, it has a lot of great health benefits. It helps lower blood pressure, improves insulin response and alleviates muscle soreness. Mint, on the other hand, can help reduce bad breath, fights indigestion, and also helps reduce stress.

To make this drink, dice watermelon and put a few cubes in a glass. You can squish them a little if you want. Add a few sprigs of mint to it and pour water over it. You can opt to make a big pitcher of this drink and keep it in the refrigerator to have throughout the day too.

Mango ginger detox water

Flavorful mango and ginger give this infused water recipe a terrific flavor. Ginger has anti-inflammatory effects, and is super soothing on the gut. Mango has high levels of vitamin A, C and B6 and contains loads of vitamins and minerals that help keep you feeling fuller for longer. Mangoes not only boost metabolism, they also aid in digestion, and boost your memory.

To make this drink, all you have to do is place sliced mangoes and ginger, along with some milk or water (according to your preference), in a blender and then blend until smooth. Squeeze in some fresh lime juice or lemon zest for an added zing to your drink after pouring it in a glass.
