KATHMANDU, March 8: ´Deserters´ of Nepal Army and police have attacked a police inspector at Jamal of Kathmandu where they were staging protest Sunday evening. According to Avenues TV, Inspector Khil Bahadur Karki was admitted to Bir Hospital after he was seriously injured in the attack. The attackers have also looted communication set and personnel weapon of the inspector, the TV channel said. Earlier, the ´deserters´ who quit their job during Maoist insurgency clashed with police at Bagbazar. The ´deserters´ have been demanding that the government reinstate them in the service.
