KATHMANDU, Nov 20: Demonstrations were held at Maitighar Mandala in the capital on Monday against the government's imposition of a ban on TikTok.
Protestors carried placards with messages such as 'Revoke the TikTok ban', 'The government, which was afraid of guns in the past, is now afraid of TikTok,' and 'Pay attention to the issue of Jajarkot victims, not TikTok.'
Nearly half a dozen petitions have been filed at the Supreme Court challenging the government's ban on TikTok, and the writ petition will be heard starting today.
On November 13, the government decided to ban the social networking app ‘TikTok’.
