KATHMANDU, Oct 24: Everest Hospitality and Hotel Pvt Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India's The Deltin Group to operate a casino on the premises of a flagship Marriott hotel that it is building in Naxal, Kathmandu.
Issuing a press statement after signing the MoU on Tuesday, Everest Hospitality and Hotel Pvt Ltd said that it has signed the agreement to bring luxury hotel together with a world class casino entertainment to Nepal.

The Marriott Kathmandu is scheduled to start operation from June next year. “Implementing the Marriott brand standards, designed by renowned architects and utilizing the best construction companies, the hotel consists of state of the art services including spa, casino, and variety of restaurants, swimming pool, gym, exclusive suites and lounges,” the statement added. “The Deltin Group, owned by Delta Corp Ltd, featuring India's largest offshore casinos has redefined gaming and hospitality services in India. It is the only public listed company in this space.”
Everest Hospitality and Hotel (Pvt) Ltd, is a subsidiary of the MS Group -- a leading business conglomerate in Nepal. MS Group's first hotel, Thamel-based Fairfield by Marriott, started operation from March, 2017.
“The Deltin Group's gaming properties include three live offshore casinos and one land based in Goa, one live onshore casino in Sikkim, having over 250 gaming tables and slot machines and over 2,000 gaming positions,” the statement added.
