Deepika Padukone was recently seen in Shakun Batra's 'Gehraiyaan'. The film also starred Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa in pivotal roles. The actress has some interesting projects in her kitty. Recently, she opened up about her upcoming film, 'The Intern'.

Produced by Deepika, the remake of the Hollywood film also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. In an interaction with a news portal, she revealed that the third wave of the COVID 19 pandemic delayed their plans to roll the film.
The 'Cocktail' actress told Midday, it will either happen this year or early 2023. Since the third wave wasn’t anticipated, it threw a few things off course.
After 'Aarakshan' and 'Piku', Big B and Deepika are all set to reunite once again on the big screen. The makers had initially roped in Rishi Kapoor. Post his unfortunate demise in 2020, megastar Amitabh Bachchan was approached to step into the late actor's shoes.
Recently, the actress took to her Instagram to thank her fans. The post was captioned as, ''The response to Gehraiyaan has been dizzying to say the least!
