KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Dashain Changa Chait 2073, the yearly kite flying event, which kicked off from Friday at Tundikhel saw an insignificant number of visitors.
The exhausted volunteers were trying to persuade people inside the gate. The stalls which were set in the morning were already packed up while the dancers were ready in costumes expecting for guests to arrive.

When inquired, a security guard for the event he said, “Maybe due to Dashain festival approaching fast, there are a few number of visitors or participants this year. The event should have been organized a bit earlier. These stalls have paid Rs 22,000 per day and have been awaiting visitors since early morning,”
Referring to their banner, was this really the biggest Dashain event of Nepal?
However, the event is shceduled for two more days and will end on Sunday.
