LALITPUR: Kite (Changa in Nepali) signals the arrival of Dashain, one of the biggest festivals observed in Nepal. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has forced people to stay indoors for a long time, flying kites has become the favorite activity to get over the stress.
With the kite flying season already around the corner, children from various places in Lalitpur on Thursday were seen gathered on the premises of Patan Durbar Square. They were found competing with each other to fly kites and split the kite threads of others. Some others were seen running behind the cut-off kites and grabbing them.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter. Entangled in and around the premises of the Malla-era heritage site, onlookers there were seen bursting into laughter time and again seeing the merry-making activities of children.
