Damak-Rabi road section resumes

DAMAK, Oct 17: Vehicular movement along the Damak of Jhapa to Chisapani Rabi (Phalgunanda) of Panchthar which was disrupted for almost four months during the rainy season has come into operation from Friday.

The vehicular movement in the road section was obstructed after a heavy flood in Ratuwa river during the second week of June.


General Secretary of Damak-Chisapani Road Construction Users' Committee Hemanta Rai said that obstructions in the Ratuwa river were cleared to resume the vehicular movement.

The daily essentials including clothes, medicines and foodstuffs, among others are supplied from the same road section to Panchthar and western part of Ilam district. RSS
