KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday declined marginally by 5.17 points to close at 2,566.16 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,571.34 points and hit the day’s high at 2,602.98 points in the first 46 minutes. The index instantly declined around 15 points and remained stable for almost next one and half hours, before it reached the day’s low at 2,559.18 points in the last two minutes.

While hotels and tourism added the largest of 131.54 points, another three groups including trading, microfinance and hydropower, were also recorded as gainers. Of the nine groups, life insurance shed the highest of 81.26 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined 1.56 points. The daily turnover increased to Rs 5.45 billion from Rs 4.57 billion.
Among the individual companies, 85 were gainers while 159 were recorded as losers. Union Hydropower Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 236.52 million.
Jyoti Bikash Bank Bond 2087 plummeted by the highest of 5.66 percent. Khanikhola Hydropower Co Ltd was the topmost gainer.
