KATHMANDU, July 28: Former Prime Minister and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed deep sorrow over the death of senior Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Gopal Man Shrestha.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday, Dahal said he was deeply saddened by Shrestha’s passing.

He said Shrestha’s contribution to Nepal’s peace process and the republican movement would always be remembered.
Dahal paid heartfelt tributes to the late leader and extended his condolences to Shrestha’s bereaved family and well-wishers.
Shrestha died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment. A veteran leader of the Nepali Congress, he remained active in national politics for decades and served in several ministerial positions, including as deputy prime minister.
