Speaking at a function organized by Maoist Tarai ethnic front, Dahal said, “The reactionary elements will not allow promulgation of the new constitution. Call on the people to take to the streets on the May 1 in an unprecedented scale,” Dahal thundered.
He also said that the Maoists are not power hungry. However, the Maoist chairman demanded that the current government be dissolved to make way for formation of a national government.
He also reiterated that conspiracy was being hatched to force the Maoists to return to war, and told the enthusiast cadres that the party would not go back to jungle at any cost. He said the Maoists would conclude the peace process at any cost.
Meanwhile, speaking at another function, Dahal said that he would not let the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed between late Girija Prasad Koirala and himself go useless at any cost.
