Chief of the Technical and Vocational Training Expansion Unit at CTEVT Bishnu Koirala said works on construction of the building and infrastructure of the four colleges have been started. The colleges are being set up for providing technical skills training to the students especially from the Tarai region.
In this connection, construction of the Santa Alpamai Ramnarayan Raya Yadav Nursing College at Malangawa of Sarlahi district and the Gaur Nusring Institute in Gaur, Rautahat is underway. These colleges to be constructed on an area of 38.5 bighas land will be completed at the cost of Rs. 50 million each.
Similarly, construction of Tikapur Polytechnic College has started in Tikapur, Kailali on a 25 bigahas plot of land. The estimated construction cost of the polytechnic college is Rs. 45 million. Another technical college, the Korea Nepal Institute of Technology, is to be constructed in Butwal. The government of Korea is going to construct the college building.
Likewise, an agreement has been reached to construct a polytechnic in Hetauda next year with financial assistance of Rs. 35 million from India and an additional assistance from the Government of Nepal.
