KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Rape-accused cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane’s case has been scheduled for a hearing by the bench of Judge Shishir Raj Dhakal of the District Court, Kathmandu. Lamichhane faces the charge of rapping a minor.

On November 9, the bench of Judge Keshav Prasad Ghimire ordered both parties of the case to submit their argument notes within one month. After the presentation of the argument notes, the hearing of the case has been scheduled again. It is expected that the district court will hear the case in closed session this time.

About a year and a half ago, cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane was accused of raping a girl. He was detained by the order of the District Court Kathmandu and was released on bail by the order of the High Court, Patan.
