KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Nepal Sherpa Youth Association is set to organize 1st Sherpa Youth Cricket Cup Tournament from August 25 to September 4 at Labrotary School cricket ground, Kirtipur.
Organizing a press conference on Tuesday, the association informed that twenty teams will be taking part in the tournament. Each team will have to pay Rs 15,000 as registration fee. The tournament will be played in T20 format. Participating teams aren't allowed to field national players in the tournament, according to the organizer. The winner and runner-up will be rewarded with Rs 60,000 and 40,000 respectively. The estimated budget of the tournament is Rs 600,000.
