KATHMANDU, Dec 14: Two Nepali cricket coaches will participate in the level-3 coaching course organized by Asian Cricket Council. Coach Jagat Tamata and Binod Das will leave for Sri Lanka on Wednesday to participate in the Level-3 course.

The course is scheduled to start from Thursday for two weeks. [break]The course has been organized by ACC in collaboration with Australia. Former Nepali coach Roy Luke Dias had represented Nepal in the course on 2009.

Tamata had represented Nepal in its first international tournament on 1996 in ACC Trophy at Malaysia. Tamata had taken the Level-1 course on 2001 in Kathmandu and Level-2 course in Pakistan on 2004.

Former national captain Das had completed the level-1 course on 2004 in Kathmandu. In 2011 Das completed level-2 course in Malaysia.

Das had earlier received chance to take the level-1 course as he was injured. Das had missed the Intercontinental Cup three day tournament against Malaysia in 2004. Das has been selected by ACC after his best performance in the level-2 course. Das said that he has not decided what he will do after the course. “I will be in cricket and the course has given me the way to be a coach.”

Tamata said that ACC has given them good opportunity and Cricket Association of Nepal has supported us. “If the association gives us chance we can handle national side.”

In the coaching of Tamata the U-19 team has fixed the U-19 World Cup spot and guided the U-19 team for the finals of ACC Elite Cup in Thailand.
