Creative, Ripumardini win

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Creative Learners School and Ripumardini Sainik School achieved victories on Monday in the boys´ category of the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-school Football Tournament being held in the capital. [break]



Creative Learners thumped Global Public School 5-0 as Prabin Kila and Ujjwal Bata netted two goals each and Praweg Suwal added another. In the second match, Pradeep Bogati scored the lone goal for Ripumardini in the 29th minute in its 1-0 victory over Pulse School.



Malla re-elected Balaju Karate Do Academy prez



KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Dhruba Bahadur Malla has been re-elected as the president of Balaju Karate Do Academy for a fifth consecutive time.



The fifth general assembly of the academy, established in 2063 BS, unanimously elected an 11-member executive committee on Monday. As per the academy regulations, the election and general assembly are held every two years.



 Prithvi Bahadur Shrestha has been elected the first vice-president and Maheshwar Raj Kunwar the vice-president. Similarly, Chandra Prakash Gharti Magar, Tirandan Gautam and Nawaraj Maskey have been elected general secretary, secretary and treasurer respectively. Rajendra Kumar Ojha, Dinesh Mahat, Dil Bahadur Nadkali, Chhatra Bahadur Ale Magar and Resham Lama are the members. The academy has also announced to construct its own academy building at a cost of Rs 15 million.
